Description
This jewellery dish is a handmade pinchpot style dish with a scraped out energetic painted design
Each piece is pinched into shape in two stages over half a day to get the cracked edge look, then left to dry for 24-48 hours, painted in 3 coats of underglaze, left to dry a further day or so in humidity controlled environment, then each piece is assessed for its unique shape and bumps, and a design is decided upon.
It is then bisque fired to around 1000C, then glazed with colour or clear or both, and then spends a further 36 hours in a kiln getting to approx 1200C, before being sanded down on the base to make it feel silky smooth like a river stone, photographed, named and listed online. 🙂
