This pair of hand built pinchpot bowls are delectably charming with their uneven rim and wobbly innards.
The contours created when they were being squeezed into existence create the perfect surface to allow this drippy glaze to achieve its most beautiful colours.
They are approx 850g in weight, hold an average of 600 mls.
The drip glaze finish on these is absolutely delightful, with many drips, surrounding the circumference, many with just a millimeter from disaster of melting to the kiln shelf.
Hand made by me in Happy Valley, each one has spent a minimum of two hours in intensive loving care in my hands, beginning with being created, fired to 1000C, cleaned, glazed, fired again to 1180C, ( over 50 hours in a kiln all told), sanded, photographed and then packaged up for sale.
