Whilst your serving ware is dishwasher safe, prolonged humid environments will wear your ceramics significantly faster than hand washing, and can weaken them over time, making them less resiliant to knocks and bumps, thus it is recommended to ensure the quality and longevity of your investment to do a brisk handwash, rather than leaving to soak or running through a dishwasher.
Avoid moving items between extreme hot or cold environments such as an oven or freezer, as this could cause thermal shock and result in fragility and cracking and/or breakage.
Serving ware with gold luster is handwash only. Dishwashing will dull and can remove the gold.
My ceramic ware is NOT microwave safe. It overheats and can cause serious burns.
To best care for your studs, do not allow them to contact scratchy surfaces and always remove them before sleep, or getting the body part containing said studs wet (bathing, swimming, hairdresser, white water rafting, shark diving etc.)
To clean use a soft microfibre cloth. If raw clay studs become discoloured, clean with a small amount of clothes detergent on a soft tooth brush, rinse and allow to dry thoroughly, in the sun if possible.
Currently, my ceramic studs are on a stainless steel studpost, which is hypoallergenic, but to which some people still have allergies.
I am in the process of developing plastic studpost studs, and also looking into other higher grade metals such as titanium, gold and silver.
